Arr Des Moines Luggage lost! Steve takes me to Target for supplies on 2 hours to Mason City.
Wed 12th - Sleep till 12:30. Walk to tea house. Steve doing errands. Very cold 32 deg.(F)
Thursday - Tea house by 9am - Tried Steve's chicken salad. Visit Mall and Museum. Margaret arrives
Friday 14th - Walk to Kmart and shoe store half hour each way. Warming up. dinner @ Wendy's. Leave for Pella. Arr abou 9pm
Sat 15th Oscalusa on way (Steve's home) to Gaylebury with Rick and Mary.
Sunday 16th - Big breakfast. Visit Wyatt Earp's birthplace and others.
Monday (St Patrick's day) Arr Springfield at 1pm. Hidden Cottage B&B Lincoln Tomb. Movie Chicago - 'Tears of the Sun' (terrible - walk out) because Mus and Dot seeing film I have seen.
Tuesday 18th - Illinois
Springfield - Start day with Yoga
Drive out to town for capitl tour(old capital) Library for net
Mexican lunch - yum
Then tour (Abe Lincoln)
Home to sleep. Shopping at local mall. A& F - Dinner at Ruby Tuesday
Wednesday 19th
FLW - Dana Thomas House - Travel to St Louis arrived 2:30pm> Italian dinner after walk to Soulard Markets
Thursday 20th
Zoo in the morning then Loop (record stores) Thai soup for lunch - Movie at night
Friday 21st Soulard Markets before drive to Memphis (ate lunch at Crackerbarrel) Pizza in black neighbourhood.
Saturday 22nd - Mephis - Graceland. Beale St and SUN Records. Lunch at SLEEP OUT with Blues music. Chinese for dinner.
Sunday 23rd.
Memphis > Kentucky. Antiques and then Best Western (Morgans Gap Stay) Cracker Barrel for dinner
Monday 24th
Kentucky to Indiana (Vincent) (LONG DRIVE!)
Reds for lunch
Memorial by River then Dwight - Motel 8. Ate at Dinner wi Margarita
Tuesday 25th (1 1/2 hrs drive)
Dwight to St Charles arr 12pm @Jill and Ron's House in very posh suburb 40 miles from Chicago. Dinner @ Pierina Bari - Nice Italian
Wednesday 26th
I am dropped @ Metra fo day in Chicago! REally Cold! Panerk for dinner followed by my first Krispy Creme.
Thursday 27th
St Charles (Gnova) to Waukesha near Milwaukee. Lunch with Janet (Steve's sister) and Amy (daughter) Nice Burger. Now hwy 18 home to Mason City.
Friday 28th - Bus to DesMoines for overnight stay at Hotel Hampton
Depart for LA 2:20pm
LA with Jane Parker.
Sunday 6th April return sydney QF 108 11:45pm
